LG Transparent OLED CES 2021
LG Display is set to make a big splash at CES 2021, and for all the right reasons, starting with their transparent OLED technology. In addition to making TV panels for Sony, Vizio, Panasonic, Toshiba, Hisense, and many others, their transparent OLEDs have many uses, including in restaurants as well as metro trains. The company’s latest version now has 40% transparency, compared to 10% for their current models.

LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier Mask
LG Electronics has just unveiled the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier mask and it’s set to hit select markets beginning in the fourth quarter. Unlike other masks, this one has two H13 HEPA filters that supply fresh, clean air indoors as well as outside. With its battery-powered dual fans and patented Respiratory Sensor, the mask can detect the cycle and volume of the wearer’s breath, thus adjusting the dual three-speed fans on the fly.

LG Wing Smartphone
Here’s a first look at the upcoming LG Wing smartphone, which reportedly has two displays, with one being the flip-out variety. In a newly leaked video, we see that its primary display is used for GPS navigation, while the second is streaming music. Why is this useful? Well, say a call comes in and you need directions for the next turn. The second display can switch from media player directly to show who’s calling.

LG Electronics’ V60 ThinQ 5G not only boasts 5G connectivity, but upgraded audio, video / photo capabilities and updated software experiences with a refined aesthetic for maximizing productivity as well as entertainment. Featuring a 6.8-inch OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform, a Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem, two rear cameras (64MP main camera lens / 13MP wide angle lens), along with a time of flight (ToF) sensor array.

LG’s massive 88-inch Z9 Signature OLED 8K TV is now available worldwide, but unfortunately, it will cost you $42,000 USD. Now only is this display the world’s first 8K OLED TV, but it’s also the largest OLED TV in general. Featuring four HDMI 2.1 ports and the ability to upscale lower resolution content, thanks to LG’s Alpha 9 Gen 2 8K intelligent processor, which uses AI to train itself from a giant database for picture and sound optimizations.
