LG Electronics has just unveiled the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier mask and it’s set to hit select markets beginning in the fourth quarter. Unlike other masks, this one has two H13 HEPA filters that supply fresh, clean air indoors as well as outside. With its battery-powered dual fans and patented Respiratory Sensor, the mask can detect the cycle and volume of the wearer’s breath, thus adjusting the dual three-speed fans on the fly.
The dual fans automatically speed up to help air intake and then slow down to reduce resistance when exhaling to make breathing effortless. It fits perfectly on the face to minimize air leakage around the nose and chin. This means you can wear the unit comfortably for hours on end, while its lightweight 820mAh battery offers up to 8-hours of continuous operation in low mode and 2-hours on high. This mask’s case comes equipped with UV-LED lights that kills harmful germs, charge it and even send notifications to the LG ThinQ mobile app (Android/iOS) when the filters need to be replaced.
