Nike Basketball and PlayStation have teamed up yet again for another pair of video game-themed sneakers. Called the PG 5 PlayStation 5 colorway, LA Clippers star Paul George worked with several designers, including Yujin Morisawa, the artist who designed the PS5 console’s, to bring the spirit of his game and the look of the console to life in this creative collaboration.
This may not be the first Adidas and LEGO collaboration, but definitely the most creative. Called Ultraboost DNA x LEGO Plates, these running shoes boast a fully customizable Ultraboost cage that have studs for bricks, allowing you to create your own designs. To be more specific, the pair of shoes feature LEGO brick 3-Stripes to “celebrate of all the builders, dreamers and risk-takers who are changing the game in their own way.”
There are smartphones, smart speakers, smart fridges, and now, smart sneakers, thanks to DropLabs. Called the EP-01, these sneakers are equipped SonicSensory Technology, or in other words, Bluetooth connectivity, a speaker-grade transducer and a power source that syncs with audio. As your music, movie, TV show, etc. is playing, the sneaker receives the audio and transmits it to the sneaker as a synced vibration.
