Sony PlayStation 5 Black Edition

Industrial designer was intrigued by Sony’s new DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5 and wondered what a matching console would look like. It didn’t take him long to come up with the Sony PlayStation 5 “Black Edition”, which keeps things simple. Featuring a disk drive two USB ports up top, while the rear boasts aLAN, HDMI, USB, power, SPDIF and AUX ports.

Sony’s upcoming Playstation 5 is still set for a holiday 2020 release, but recently, several new photos of the development kits have leaked. Unfortunately, not all of them are clear images, but thankfully designer Giuseppe Spinelli has created a stunning 3D render of what we know about the console so far. There has been no confirmation about the specs, but it’s rumored to be powered by an eight-core AMD CPU based on the company’s 7nm microarchitecture, similar to the new PC-based Zen 2 Ryzen processors.

Sony’s PlayStation, a home video game console, was first released on December 3, 1994 in Japan, and as a a fifth generation console, it primarily competed with the Nintendo 64 and the Sega Saturn. Paladone decided to pay tribute by releasing an officially licensed PlayStation Watch, which is made of gray silicone and sports three buttons that control the time-displaying LEDs.

Sony Walkman 40th Anniversary Edition
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Sony Walkman, the company reveals an all-new touchscreen device that runs the Google Android operating system. The NW-A100TPS is adorned with a special 40th anniversary logo on the rear casing and comes complete with a special soft case as well as package that pays tribute to the TPS-L2 Walkman, which was originally launched on July 1st, 1979.

Sony Reon Pocket Air Conditioner
Simply put, Sony‘s Reon Pocket air conditioner, the first product for the company’s First Flight crowdfunding platform, aims to keep you cool during the warm summer months. It’s designed to fit snuggly into the back of a custom undershirt and uses thermoelectric cooling, all controlled via Bluetooth on a smartphone. You’ll be able to cool down or warm up with just a few swipes of your finger. How cool does it get? Allegedly, it can lower your body temperature by up to 23° Fahrenheit, or raise it 14° Fahrenheit.
