TCab Tech has raised $20-million for its E20 eVTOL air taxi, which the company plans on introducing in the Middle East region. This tilt-rotor aircraft comes in a a 5-seat (1 pilot + 4 passengers) configuration and is equipped with six rotors, four tilt rotors, two lift rotors, and a high gull-wing with a conventional tailplane design.
This eVTOL has a maximum design range of 124.2 miles (200 kilometers), and a cruising speed of 162 mph (260 km/hour), making it perfect for inter-city commutes. E20 could also be used as a manned delivery drone, thanks to its 990 pound payload capacity. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.

Apart from China which has been identified by many reports as the single largest market for air-taxi application, TCab Tech also believes that there are strong demands for E20 eVTOL in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the ‘Belt and Road’ regions because these fast-developing regions would benefit from integrating air-taxi into their transportation infrastructure for aerial-sightseeing and inter-city travel,” said the company.
