Volkswagen Golf GTI Roadster Concept
Back in 2014, Volkswagen partnered with Sony Computer Entertainment to build the world’s first and only Volkswagen Golf GTI Roadster Concept. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine making 503 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, mated to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling it to hit 60 mph in just 3.5-seconds, while topping out at 192 mph.

Volkswagen aerodynamically optimized the roadster’s body, with the most prominent visual feature being the massive rear wing. This isn’t for just show, as it provides extra downforce as well as traction, when combined with the all-wheel-drive system. Yes, it has doors that swivel up and forward, visually putting a prominent character line into an upper / lower half. Finishing things off are 20-inch Golf GTI centerlock aluminum-alloy wheels wrapped in 235/35 ZR20 front and 275/30 ZR20 rear tires.
