What if you could just drive an electric vehicle into a parking spot and automatically start charging it? Introducing Watt, which is essentially a wireless charging pad for EVs. In the future, when more vehicles are equipped with the technology, you’ll be able to monitor its progress using a free app.

Watt (Wireless Advanced Transportation Charging Tile) can basically be installed on normal parking spots, enabling EV owners to park their cars like normal, without having to deal with any additional charging cables. When the car is finished charging, you can either check the status in-app or simply walk over to the parking space itself to verify that the LED indicator has turned green. One upcoming EV that we know will have wireless charging technology is the IM L7, set to hit dealerships in China next month.
