You’ve probably seen a 1988 Ferrari Testarossa, but most likely never finished in Marrone Metallizzato. This rare example rolled off the production line in March 1988 in this color over a beige leather interior, and is just one of 390 units destined for North America that year. With just 6,611-miles on its odometer, it’s safe to say that this was just a weekend cruiser.
This Testarossa actually took home the Platinum Award at the Cavallino Classic XXIV Concours d’Elegance, and its lucky new owner will also receive its accompanying trophy. For those interested, you’ll be able to bid on it during Monterey Car Week at the Monterey Conference Center between August 18-20, 2022. It’s expected to fetch up to $225,000 USD, but we have a feeling it is going to be let go for much higher. The car is accompanied by an inspection lamp, spare wheel, and tool roll, while the odometer reads 6,611 miles at the time of cataloging.

As seen here, photographed in front of Mexico’s famous Palacio de los Deportes—which also once served as the backdrop for photos of the copper-colored Lancia Stratos Zero concept—the Testarossa at once futuristic and timeless. The car is accompanied by an inspection lamp, spare wheel, and tool roll, while the odometer reads 6,611 miles at the time of cataloging,” said RM Sotheby’s.
