Power comes from a quad electric motor setup connected to 80-kWh BYD “Blade” lithium iron phosphate battery that helps it generate 1,287 hp.
All of this power helps the BYD Yangwang U9 accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 2.36 seconds and hit a top speed of 192 mph. On a full charge, you can expect up to 280-miles of range under China’s Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), thanks to being built on an 800-volt architecture. It also supports fast charging at speeds of up to 500 kW and dual charging. It’s set to go on sale later this year in China, priced from approximately $230,000 USD.
