European buyers are getting a low-slung four-door electric grand tourer that stays remarkably faithful to the 2020 Precept concept. Polestar shaped the production car around a bonded aluminum structure developed specifically for this model, giving it the torsional stiffness more often associated with lightweight sports cars while keeping overall mass in check for a vehicle of its size.
This car, which is slightly over five meters long and has a 3054mm wheelbase, sits low to the ground and features a strongly defined shoulder line, Dual Blade headlamps, and one of those unusual tailfins inspired by the Kamm tail. Flush door handles, frameless glass, and active grille shutters contribute to a drag coefficient of 0.244 on the Dual Motor variant. Instead of a traditional rear window, a camera feeds a digital interior mirror, freeing up a lot of space in the back and allowing them to fit their largest panoramic glass roof yet, as that roof extends all the way back and floods the interior with natural light despite the roofline’s low position.

Two Dual Motor all-wheel-drive powertrains use the same large 112kWh battery pack (106kWh usable) as we all know and love, along with an 800-volt electrical design. The Dual Motor produces 748 horsepower and 812 Nm, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and has an official range of up to 678 kilometers on a single charge. If you upgrade to the Performance version, you can anticipate 884 horsepower and 1,015 Nm, with 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds, but the range drops to roughly 558 km. Essentially, an in-house rear motor provides the majority of the power in both versions. Peak DC charging is a convenient 350 kW that can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 22 minutes.
The suspension and chassis upgrades are intended to keep up with the car’s high performance credentials. The double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension sit on a robust aluminum foundation that will not flex under large loads. Dual Motor vehicles include high-capacity passive dampers, while the Performance variant includes MagneRide adaptive units that can modify damping hundreds of times per second. Custom Michelin tyres and four-piston Brembo brakes complete the look. Reviewers who have driven the car on European roads say it has beautifully smooth, instantly responsive acceleration and handling that feels planted without ever becoming too harsh, which is a difficult balance to strike, but this car nails it, especially when the MagRide system is enabled.

Inside, Recaro seats grip the driver in with firm bolstering and a sharp steering wheel position that emphasizes performance. The automobile is truly designed for four people, with individual back seats that recline and provide heating, ventilation, and even massage features in the higher trim levels. When you raise the center armrest, you gain access to a little fifth seat suitable for the occasional passenger. You’ll also notice a number of environmentally friendly materials utilized throughout: flax-based composites on the seatbacks, recycled fibers in the headliner, and even optional Bridge of Weir nappa leather, which is essentially a byproduct of the food industry. A 14.5-inch portrait touchscreen runs the newest Android Automotive with Google services built in, with a 9-inch driver display located on the steering column and a head-up display to complete the package.

The asking price in Europe is £89,500 for the Dual Motor Launch Edition and £104,900 for the Performance variant, which is actually rather reasonable when compared to some of its immediate competitors. Customer deliveries began in Europe in 2026, but American purchasers will not see this model in showrooms; a regulatory decision under the Connected Vehicle Rule means Polestar will be unable to sell new cars in the United States beginning with the 2027 model year. As a result, the corporation is shifting its focus to Europe and other high-growth markets.
