Stunt driver Paul Swift has performed some pretty spectacular parking tricks over the years, but his latest one earned him a Guinness World Record. More specifically, the record for tightest parallel park in an electric car. To accomplish this, Swift used an electric MINI Cooper SE, which is powered by an electric motor that sources its power from a 28.9-kWh battery pack making 181 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque.
To set the record, Swift was only given three seconds to park in the space created by two MINI Coopers that parked parallel to the curb. This British stunt driver easily pulled it off by squeezing the vehicle into the tight parking spot with a masterful technique, setting a new world record of only 30 centimeters. That gap is measured by subtracting the length of the car being parked from the size of the parking space.
