Freelance designer pistonzero from Norway put his heart and effort into this project as a tribute to the first-generation Honda NSX. He teamed up with Autotique, an Australian aftermarket specialist, to take their existing OEM+ widebody kit, which was already pretty solid, and give it a major overhaul to better suit enthusiasts who want to modify their 90s and early 2000s Acura (or Honda, depending where you are in the world).
To be honest, this project began as a computer-imagined concept, but Autotique has taken the design a step further by making it available for purchase and installation on owners’ real vehicles. The widebody kit, made of premium Toray carbon fiber that’s stacked for maximum strength and low weight, drastically transforms the NSX’s stance; flared fenders, in particular, make this thing look grounded on the road.

The front and rear bumpers have received a total redesign. The front has slimmer lines and a number of integrated features that improve ventilation. At the back, the dual exhaust design is replaced by a more aggressive quad-pipe configuration that hints at potential performance enhancements.
The unique taillights, sometimes known as HyperTails, are unquestionably the kit’s standout feature. These are custom-made taillights with printed circuit boards, starting animations, and sequential turn signals; in short, they are the most complex taillights you’ll find on a historic car. And the actual parts that house the lights are precision-molded ABS plastic, paired with specially designed diffusion lenses and center accents, all of which work together to give the lights a totally modern glow that contrasts perfectly with the original pop-up headlights.
Pistonzero picked Pearl White as the debut color, and it’s been sprayed with the finest paint, making the carbon fiber and new features really pop. The kit also includes a slew of other premium aerodynamic components that provide some genuinely beneficial details, such as increased visibility at high speeds.
Now, as for the interior, owners can very much leave things as is. The aim is to leave it looking stock so that the restomod is all about exterior modifications, with only a few small tweaks to keep things interesting rather than a complete rebuild.
