The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N eN1 Cup Cup was officially unveiled at the practice round for participating teams in the upcoming Hyundai N Festival motorsports event. This all-electric race car is based on the IONIQ 5 N high-performance electric vehicle (EV) and previews the future of electrified racing.
It’s based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform with an 84 kWh battery pack with an 800-volt electrical architecture. Power comes from dual electric motors, with the front motor making 222 hp and a rear motor producing 378 hp, generating a combined 641 hp. Aesthetically, it sports a redesigned body kit consisting of low / wide-style over-fenders, wider wheel trajectories for improved handling, and front lips / rear wings for improved downforce.
