For those who attended Comic-Con 2022 in San Diego, a massive 14-foot-tall LEGO Bowser may have greeted you. This isn’t a simple solid statue that was 3d-printed or assembled by a machine, but rather designed on a computer and then hand-built by brick artists using 663,900 bricks over 137 days.
Want one yourself? LEGO has just released a smaller version of The Mighty Bowser that consists of 2,807 pieces. Unlike its 14-foot counterpart, this one has a fireball launcher and a button to control Bowser’s head / neck movements, mouth, arms, legs, as well as tail. There’s just one caveat: it’ll cost you $269.99 USD.
- LEGO Super Mario Adventures Starter course toy features an interactive figure of Mario, a Goomba figure, Bowser Jr. and a buildable course, making it a great gift idea for fans of Super Mario Bros.
- LEGO Mario figure has color sensors, plus LCD screens in his eyes, mouth and belly to display over 100 different instant reactions to movement
- This Super Mario buildable toy also has a speaker that plays iconic sounds and music from the classic video game
Bowser is, quite simply, the ultimate boss – and we’re delighted to announce that we’re introducing this oversized version to the LEGO Super Mario adult line for a little added peril. Since we launched LEGO Super Mario two years ago, we’ve been on such a journey – gradually expanding with the most iconic and recognizable characters of the LEGO Super Mario universe,” said Carl Merriam, Senior Designer, LEGO Super Mario.
