Liberty Walk created this widebody Ferrari F40 a few years ago by adding panels that stretch the body outwards on all four corners, while also lowering the entire car much closer to the ground than the original 1987 model ever did. Founder Wataru Kato recently shared eight fresh photos on social media of it traveling the streets of Osaka, with the city’s vibrant colors and neon lights splashed all over the legendary supercar.
The flared panels extend the body from its original design, creating that solid, planted look that stands out in every picture, while the new front lip sticks out more and integrates smoothly into the bumper line. Thick skirts stretch the length of the sides and meet the rear extensions seamlessly. A nicely-tucked wing sits on top of the car, while the diffuser fills in the space below the back end, where the three large exhaust outlets sit right in the middle, catching the glow of every passing streetlight.

The rims fill the new openings and fit flush with the larger fenders, and only when a lucky angle catches the hood can you see the intake vents, which are smartly designed to just blast air straight through with little bother. The interior features red seats that give the cockpit a simple but sharp appearance, and the decals on the bits around them all follow that classic design pattern that ties the whole thing together with the first Ferrari F40 that rolled out, which was designed as a no-compromise track monster.

Genuinely Osaka is the ideal backdrop for these shots, with its bright storefronts and open spaces that frame the car without crowding it in. One photo shows the entire length of the car along a quiet stretch of road, allowing you to see how low and wide it is from nose to tail, while another gets right up close on the front end, where the lip and vents look razor sharp against the ground. When looking at pictures from the back, the wing and diffuser draw the eye, while the exhaust points take up all of the emphasis in the center.
