Does the Matchbox RealTruck Custom JT Gladiator look familiar? If so, that is because this vehicle is based on the 1:64 scale Matchbox Collectors Jeep Gladiator, and it was just auctioned off for $250,000 at the most recent Barrett-Jackson auction.
All of the proceeds of this custom Jeep Gladiator went directly to benefit non-profit organization, Building Homes for Heroes, which is devoted to supporting wounded veterans and first responders. The vehicle sold for $250,000, but Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis added in an additional $25,000, while a private party at the auction donated another $50,000, bringing the grand total to $325,000.

Mattel ignited our imaginations with their diecast cars, which were a staple in so many of our childhood toy boxes. The custom Jeep Gladiator Rubicon being sold for charity in Scottsdale literally brings the toy version to life. Not only is this a rare chance to own a life-size Mattel Jeep, it’s also an amazing opportunity to contribute to the care of this nation’s incredible servicemen and women,” said Craig Jackson, Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO.
