Mercedes-Benz F200 Concept
The Mercedes-Benz F200 ‘Imagination’ concept is unlike any that you’ve seen from the automaker, or at least for a vehicle that debuted in 1999 at the Paris Motor Show. Its exerior was inspired by the S-Class, but what really set this 2-door coupe apart from the others was its joystick-controlled system that replaced the traditional steering wheel.

How did it work? Well, the ‘sidesticks’ were used both for steering as well as the gas / brake pedeals. Other innovations included butterfly doors, an electro-transparent panoramic roof, video cameras instead of rear view mirrors, a windows-airbag, voice recognition for mobile phones, an Active Body Control fully active suspension, and a variable light distribution headlight system. This one-of-a-kind vehicle reportedly sold for $10-million and was recently displayed at the London Concours, which ran from June 28-30, 2022.
