Researchers from Moscow Polytechnic University have developed a bizarre-looking EV prototype, called Amber, with all major electric drivetrain components such as the battery pack, inverter, and electric motor being sourced from Russian companies.

There’s no word yet on how much power the electric motor makes, nor is there an explanation for the gaping holes in the side body panels. What we can see are two circular headlights and a panel van-like rear section. All other parts will most likely be sourced from China when it goes into production in 2025. There’s no word yet on pricing, as this EV may be exclusive to the Russian market.
