What the Next-Generation Nintendo Switch 2 Could Look Like

Insiders claim that the Nintendo Switch 2 / Pro could be released as soon as Q2 2024 to ensure that there is sufficient stock. One caveat: at least one of the models could launch with a standard LCD screen rather than ta high-fidelity OLED panel to cut down on costs.

Fortunately, this next-generation console should still have a physical cartridge slot, just like its predecessor, although backwards compatibility remains up in the air. The current Nintendo Switch boasts 32GB of built-in storage, so a bump up in capacity is expected. On the bright side, it is rumored that some developers already have prototypes of the new console in hand and are busy working on games.
