Refreshed 2026 Tesla Model S Model X Reveal Frost Blue
Tesla has just unveiled a refreshed version of both the Model S and Model X in the U.S., bringing a suite of understated but meaningful updates that aim to keep them competitive in an increasingly crowded EV landscape.

The Plaid versions of both models sport redesigned front bumpers, but doesn’t update the headlights. “The changes made to the exterior of the Model S Plaid also enhance its high-speed stability,” Tesla noted in its announcement. Now the biggest update is probably the new Frost Blue paint color, priced at $2,500.

Inside, the cabins of both models remain largely familiar. Configurable ambient lighting now graces the dashboard, door panels, and center console, complete with a unique animation that plays when the vehicle starts. “Dynamic ambient lighting… brings unique animations along the dash & doors upon entry,” Tesla shared. The steering yoke, a polarizing feature, is now exclusive to the Model X as a $1,000 option, while a conventional steering wheel comes standard. Noise reduction has been a focus, with Tesla claiming a quieter cabin thanks to less wind and road noise, bolstered by improved Active Noise Cancellation. “Even quieter inside: less wind + road noise & more effective Active Noise Cancellation,” the company stated, a claim that could make long drives feel even more serene.

Performance remains a cornerstone of the Model S and Model X, and the 2025 refresh doesn’t tamper with their powertrains. The Model S Long Range now boasts 410 miles of range. As for the Plaid variant, it keeps its tri-motor setup generating 1,020 horsepower, along with a 348-mile range. The Model X is available in Long Range and Plaid trims, though specific range figures for the SUV weren’t specified.

Pricing reflects the premium positioning of these updates, with both models seeing a $5,000 increase. The Model X Long Range now starts at $89,990, while the Plaid version commands $104,990. The Model S pricing wasn’t detailed in the announcement, but the trend suggests a similar uptick.
