This seemingly one-off Tesla solar trailer range extender was recently spotted at the 2022 IdeenExpo in Hannover, Germany and consists of a fold-out solar array with nine panels, complete with a SpaceX Starlink high-speed internet system. There’s no word yet on if this will eventually be sold to consumers, but we do know that it’s reported to generate around 50-miles of additional EV range.
Now the 50-miles of estimate range could be more or less, but this is assuming that the panels produce around 300W each, making the combined array capacity 2.7 kW. The added Starlink high-speed internet system could be a good solution for those who are living off-the-grid and don’t have easy access to electricity. We imagine this solar trailer being very useful for anyone needing a quick EV charge in emergency situations, as it can be towed to just about any location.
