First up, the Sterrato is powered by a naturally-aspirated 5.2L V10 engine making 601 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, enabling it to hit 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
Next, the Porsche 911 Dakar draws power from a twin-turbocharged 3.7L flat-six engine generating 473 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, which boosts it to 62 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds. On paper, both supercars appear to be equally matched, both in power and suspension. That would hold true throughout the tests on the track and gravel for, as they both lived up to their off-road abilities.
