Top Gear pits the Tesla Cybertruck against the Rivian R1T in the ultimate off-road EV pickup truck test. More specifically, California’s Johnson Valley, where both vehicles were tasked with driving over dunes, traversing a rocky trail, and other shenanigans.
Both the Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T have their strengths, particularly during the crawling test, as both did not struggle for traction. However, rocky trails were a different story, as the former having a stiffer suspension, which means a less comfortable ride over bumps. We won’t spoil everything, but will say that the Tesla Cybertruck has definitely improved a lot over the past few months with the new updates being pushed out.
