This is the world’s only Simpson-Ferrari V12 GTR and it could be yours, thanks to Iconic Auctioneers. Interested parties at the Silverstone Festival’s Iconic Sale will be able to bid for the supercar on August 23, with an estimated value of between $640,000 to $770,000
Now you might be wondering why it has a V12, and the answer is that this F40 was a crash test vehicle that had its engine replaced with a 478hp unit from a 550 Maranello by Simpson Motorsport in the UK. The V12 was then tuned to generate 542 hp, mated to a Hewland six-speed sequential gearbox. Pm a side note, it was originally built for the FIA GT1 in 1996.
