Can the all-new 2025 Audi S5 Sportback beat a BMW M340i and AMG C43 in a drag race? CarWow’s Mat Watson and friends wanted to find out, so they pit all three sports sedans against each other in a drag racing showdown.
First up, the S5 Sportback draws power from a turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine making 367 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Next, the BMW M340i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0L inline-six engine, paired with a 48-volt hybrid system, that generate a combined 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Last, but not least, we have the AMG C43, which comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.0L inline-4 engine producing 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.
