Atmos Gear Electric Rollerblades Inline Skates
France-based startup Atmos Gear debuts the world’s first electric rollerblades, or more specifically, a system that consists of three wheels in each inline skate, with the middle being powered. When fully charged, riders will be able to hit a top speed of 15 mph and can control them using a smartphone app.

Each rollerblade has a battery that can travel up to 12-miles on a single charge on electric power alone and weigh in at 1.7-pounds. There are two caveats: riders have to wear the batteries they use in a special bag and then connect a long wire to each one of the rollerblades. Currently, the company is taking pre-orders, and they have 170 interested parties so far, priced at around $591 USD.
