Da Vinci 6.0 Star Wars Edition is a Camper Van Fit for a Sith Lord

In a world where most camper vans ostensibly promise freedom on four wheels, the Da Vinci 6.0 Star Wars Edition provides something decidedly more sinister: a moving fortress built with the same unwavering discipline that has kept the Empire in power. Built by Toy Factory in Japan, this beast begins with a robust Fiat Ducato L3H2 chassis that measures 5,995 millimeters from bow to stern, 2,100 millimeters wide, and 2,620 millimeters high.

It’s still a practical option for local roads despite being right-hand drive, and its 2.2-liter MultiJet3 turbo-diesel engine produces a pleasant 180 horsepower at 3,500 rpm, thanks to its 332 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels while also drawing from the 90-litre diesel tank. With a turn radius of only 7.2 metres, it maneuvers through corners like a TIE fighter dodging laser blasts in a tight dogfight. For a small crew, four seats up front provide a good position to ride shotgun, while the back folds out to accommodate two people who want to sleep overnight on a bed measuring 1,950 by 1,270 millimetres. With an empty weight of less than 3.5 tons, it fits neatly within the ordinary car license limit, requiring no special permissions


Darth Vader’s gloomy shadow appears to fall across every inch of this vehicle, a sensation heightened by the metallic black paint job, which appears to suck the light straight out of the air. The red-stitched black leather wraps around the chairs and accessories, reminiscent of the Dark Lord’s cape rather than a desert nomad’s tent. White LED strips run down the walls and ceiling, casting a chilly, clinical glare reminiscent of an Imperial hallway; it’s the type of light that makes you feel watched. No cartoonish stormtrooper helmets or bright lightsabers litter the area; rather, the elements are far more subtle, from the sharp cabinet edges to the way shadows pool in the corners. High-insulation acrylic windows with built-in shades and screens keep the outside world out, and the power-sliding door is easy to get in and out, equipped with a bug net to keep the galaxy’s pests at bay. Toy Factory’s original insulation does an excellent job of maintaining a consistent temperature regardless of the planet’s mood.



Stepping inside, the interior layout comes to life. Out front, the cab maintains its cool with a clean design; the only fancy features are the optional Alpine dashcams watching your rear and an around-view video system monitoring the highways leading in and out. Swing around to the living area, and you’ll notice a pretty handy detachable dining table holding down the space, as well as a 70-liter fridge-freezer on either side that swings out like a side door for grabbing goods on the fly. There’s a stainless steel sink with a built-in boiler and hot water heater, as well as a microwave hanging over it all. Keep things cool with household-style air conditioning and an electric roof ventilator that draws in fresh air and blows out dust. Two 95-amp-hour lead-acid batteries provide electricity to a 1,500-watt inverter, which powers 100-volt outlets and USB ports all around the building. And don’t get me started on the loo – the waterless Clesana toilet handles business in a clean and compact manner. When the sun sets, you may even cover the front and sides with windshield blinds to create a private hideaway. Every component of this configuration is intended to fit together seamlessly, allowing you to treat miles of highway as an extension of your house.




However, for those who are perfectionists, there are numerous options for upgrading. Maybe replace the old lead-acid batteries with some bright new lithium-ion packs, and while you’re doing it, install some solar panels so you can charge up without ever stopping. You could easily add a 19-inch TV for late-night entertainment, or apply the GLOW GUARD glass coating to the windows to keep water and filth at away. If you really want to go all out, you could mount front and back cameras on the dash for a full-fledged surveillance setup – it’s a terrific way to keep an eye out for tailgaters or any goods you may have left behind. The good news is that you can use any of these options without overwhelming the original design. And each one simply adds a little more polish to the van, making it ideal for longer drives or rougher terrain. Whether you choose to hit the road in Tokyo or Hokkaido, the engine’s steady rumble will transport you while the inside remains a cool and comfy refuge..



Production is limited to only five units worldwide, which isn’t enough to make it feel unique, but it’ll get people talking. Each one is officially licensed, and the Star Wars seal connects it to the bigger picture. The lottery began on October 30, 2025, with entries from fans eager to spend their fortunes for the opportunity to drive. The price is a whopping 21.87 million yen, or about $140,000 before taxes and fees are added in.
