If you thought the Tesla Model S Plaid was fast, think again, as the Lucid Air Sapphire has just set a new quarter-mile record. It managed to complete the quarter-mile in a mere 1.77-seconds with a roll-out or 1.92-seconds without.
This is made possible thanks to its three-motor powertrain that makes 234 horsepower and 1,430 pound-feet of torque, enabling it to hit a top speed of 205 miles per hour. On a full charge, it can get up to 427 miles of driving range. One caveat: a Lucid Air Sapphire will set you back over $250,000 when fully equipped. In other words, you can get two Tesla Model S Plaids and then have some left over for aftermarket modifications.
