Most would imagine the Tesla Model S Plaid being fast enough to take on just about any Ford Mustang, but this turbocharged Mustang GT was a handful to say the least. We won’t spoil the results, but will say that the latter managed to achieve a 9.47s pass at a blistering 148 mph.
With that said, the tri-motor Tesla Model S Plaid does make 1,020 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to hit 60 mph in a mere 2.1 seconds. So for a Ford Mustang GT, or any supercar for that matter, to beat this EV in a quarter mile drag race, the vehicle would have to be making in excess of 1,000hp and have massive traction at the start.
