Type 2 Campers has just unveiled a VW Transporter-inspired trailer, complete with a pop-up roof, called the T2.3. The 9.5-foot-long camper trailer features automotive-grade stamped steel panels and weighs in at less than 1,000 lb (454 kg), making it compatible with both EV as well as small vehicles.
You can choose from three models: “Sleeper”, which features a U-shaped sofa lounge / bed as well as a kitchenette, “Sleeper Plus”, and “Kitchenette”. The latter has a large L-shaped kitchen that includes an induction cooktop and stainless steel sink. One caveat: pricing starts at just under $30,000 USD.
- Kids ages 8+ can take a trip to the beach with this LEGO Creator 3 in 1 building toy set featuring a toy campervan, summerhouse and ice-cream shop
- The toy campervan has a kitchen, bedroom, removable roof, opening side door and rotating wheels, plus beach cabins, a palm tree and deckchairs
- The set can be rebuilt into a two-story summerhouse filled with fun details or into an ice-cream shop with a terrace, tables and a beach buggy

VW buses and Airstreams continue to be popular not only for their compelling design, but for their durability. We are literally using stamped metal that is following the engineering and the structural integrity of the now 60-year old VW bus,” said Ryan Schassen, Type 2 co-owner.
