Digital artist cool.car.design has created a stunning coupe that recaptures the lost beauty of the discontinued SLC in its fixed-roof variant. Mercedes-Benz discontinued the SLC in 2020 after sales continued to decline in the small roadster segment, leaving a space below the SL and GT models. This interpretation fills that gap with a quick tiny two-seater that exudes authentic AMG swagger.

Up front, the dramatic Panamericana grille with vertical slats steals the show, accompanied by those instantly identifiable Mercedes headlights. It’s finished with large multi-spoke wheels that fill out the strong wheel arches, giving it a very rooted, purposeful appearance. On the side, it has strong aggressive lines, tiny side windows that only enhance to the low slim profile, and a rather tall rear windscreen that flows seamlessly into a coupe roofline with little compromise.
- BUILD A BRITISH SUPERCAR – Young auto enthusiasts 9 years old and up can build the legendary Aston Martin Valkyrie, a stylish speed machine favored by racing legends
- REALISTIC ENGINEERING COMPONENTS – Kids can discover real automotive principles as they build and operate mechanical features including functional steering, signature gullwing doors, a V12 engine with moving pistons, and a working differential
- AUTHENTIC FEATURES & DETAILS – This aerodynamic sports car toy features a striking teal color scheme and signature design elements that make it an icon of the open road

Out the back, it’s the same story: thin headlights that run the entire length of the car, a pretty aggressive bumper to provide some edge, and center-mouted exhausts that are a dead giveaway of the kind of performance we’re looking at. However, the whole vehicle fits together very well, and it does not appear as massive as many other current automobiles do. The artist envisions this Mercedes-AMG concept being driven by a bi-turbo V8 with 720 horsepower, placing it squarely in the realm of cars that will give you some serious speed.

Of course, production isn’t in the cards anytime soon, as Mercedes is now firmly focused on producing larger automobiles, electric vehicles, and more. However, this design demonstrates how successfully AMG styling can be scaled down while maintaining its impact. A car like this would be an excellent fit immediately underneath the GT coupe. It is a more accessible, focused machine that retains the playful fun attitude of the original SLK but in a respectable hardtop packaging.
